Function

The SK-900 is an injection blasting cabinet, suitable for less intensive cleaning tasks.

Operation

Injection blasting is typically used in relatively small cabins. In the injection system, the blasting medium is drawn into a gun via the so-called Venturi effect and then accelerated and sprayed onto the workpiece.

At the front of the blasting area, there are 2 hand openings with insertion cuffs, as well as a large viewing window with a safety glass and splash guard (mica). The activation and deactivation of the blasting process are controlled by a foot pedal, which pneumatically opens and closes the main air supply. Both access doors of the cabinet are equipped with a safety feature (pneumatic bump valve) that immediately stops the blasting process when either of the doors is opened. A pressure regulation valve with a manometer for setting the working pressure is located at the right front. The pressure regulation valve is equipped with a locking mechanism.

The lighting is housed in a dust-tight light box, mounted on the blasting cabinet and protected from radiation by a perspex window. The light box contains 2 x 18-watt fluorescent tubes.

A control panel is mounted on the cabinet to activate the lighting and the fan motor of the cartridge filter.

The dust separation system uses a continuously cleaning cartridge filter, which sucks up and separates dust and other impurities from the blasting medium. The separated dust is collected in the dust collection hopper. The cleaned blasting medium falls back into the blasting medium collection hopper for reuse.

The SKIF type is available with various options.
